I am very happy to share this message for the Directorate of University Advancement & Financial Assistance (UAFA) of NED University. This directorate  was established in 2013. The aims and objective of the directorate is very diverse that is to make every possible effort for the unique positioning of the university and its advancement in any of its domain. Beside, one of its domain is proactive engagement with alumni.

Keeping in view these objectives, the directorate has initiated alumni based magazine “The NED Experience” since 2017. The magazine contains the reflections of the alumni, success stories of the accomplished alumni, memorable gallery, alumni associations round the world and the contributions of the alumni. The core objective of the magazine is the advancement of the university; financially and in-kind.

Since one of the key stakeholder of the university is its students, the directorate has re-introduced students based in campus newspaper “NEDian” in which students come up gathering the news about the happening in the university. The objective is to provide an extracurricular environment to the students to diversify their skills and abilities and career path also. Besides, it invites alumni and industrial leaders to actively invest in students.

Besides, the directorate has been showcasing the best final year projects of the undergraduate students on the basis of social and environmental factors instead of technical one only. Each year, the directorate circulate these FYPs within alumni and industry for further cooperation.

To keep the alumni engaged with their alma mater, it has been wishing to alumni of special occasions, their birthdays and to extend cooperation to them for any support within the scope of the university. In this regard it has developed smart phone based app ‘NEDAN’ and one window solution for the alumni for the fast track processing of their queries and extending necessary support.

In recent past, the directorate has fulfilled its role for obtaining the UNESCO chair “Sustainable Urban Regions”, & membership of United Nations Academic Impact. So, it has been actively looking for the cooperation of the alumni and other well-wishers irrespective of their magnitude and form for development of the students, campus, departments, labs, MoUs with universities and industries and many more. It has also provided platform to alumni for any the sort of material contribution.

We are making every possible effort for the active engagement of alumni within the university and welcome every meaningful effort from alumnus end also. All our alumni, students and friends of the university are invited to connect with us.
